The Jets announced Tuesday that they have signed OL Brandon Hitner to the practice squad. He takes the roster spot of OL Calvin Anderson, who has signed with the Broncos.
Here’s an updated look at New York’s practice squad:
- CB Kyron Brown
- LB Jamey Mosley
- WR Jeff Smith
- RB Valentine Holmes (International)
- RB Josh Adams
- WR/KR Greg Dortch
- WR Josh Malone
- LB James Burgess
- DB Bennett Jackson
- QB Mike White
- OL Brandon Hitner
Hitner has recently tried out for the Jets, Colts and Seahawks and was reportedly on his way to trying out for the Texans before signing in New York.
Hitner, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Villanova back in April. He later agreed to a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Rams.
However, Los Angeles waived Hitner coming out of the preseason.
During his college career at Villanova, Hitner was a two-year starter, appearing in 28 total games.
