The New York Jets announced Wednesday that they’ve signed former AAF QB Brandon Silvers to a contract.
Silvers played for the Memphis Express and threw for 777 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in three starts.
Silvers wound up going undrafted out of Troy last year and did not catch on with an NFL team.
During his four-year college career at Troy, Silvers threw for 10,677 yards while completing 64.4 percent of his passes to go along with 71 touchdowns and 29 interceptions. He also rushed for 415 yards and 16 touchdowns over the course of 48 games.
