According to Aaron Wilson, the Jets have signed WR Vyncint Smith to their active roster off the Texans practice squad.
Smith boosts the Jets depth at wide receiver, where they’ve been depleted by injuries.
Smith, 23, signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2018 out of Limestone College. He was able to make Houston’s final roster as a rookie before being waived coming out of the preseason this year and joining the practice squad.
In 2018, Smith recorded five receptions for 91 yards and one touchdown for the Texans.
