Jets Sign OL Spencer Long To Four-Year, $28M Deal

Jason La Canfora reports that the Jets are in fact signing OL Spencer Long to a contract on Wednesday.

  • According to Rich Cimini, Long’s gets a four-year, $28 million deal from the Jets that includes another $2 million in playing time incentives.

Long, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Redskins back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,863,800 contract with the Redskins and is now in position to test the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Long appeared in seven games for the Redskins before he was placed on injured reserve. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 19 center out of 36 qualifying players.
