Jets Signing TE Connor Davis

Rich Cimini reports that the New York Jets are signing TE Connor Davis to a contract.  Cimini adds that there were multiple teams interested in signing Davis.

Davis, 25, wound up going undrafted out of Stony Brook back in April. He signed on with the Jets earlier in the week, which happened to be his first opportunity with an NFL team.

The Jets eventually decided to waive Davis in order to sign S Anthony Cioffi and he is now getting another chance with the team.

During his five-year college career at Stony Brook, Davis caught six passes for 41 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also played on defensive and recorded 10 tackles and a sack.
