According to Tom Pelissero, the Jets are signing veteran WR Chris Hogan to the roster.
Hogan is from the area and adds some depth to New York’s receiving corps. He recently had a workout for the Lions.
Hogan, 32, wound up signing on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Monmouth back in 2011. He had brief stints with the Giants and Dolphins before signing on with the Bills during the 2012 season.
Buffalo elected to bring Hogan back on exclusive rights deals for the next two seasons before the Patriots signed him away as a restricted free agent in 2016. Hogan played out the final year of his three-year, $12 million contract before agreeing to a one-year deal with the Panthers last year.
Hogan was placed on injured reserve back in October and was designated as a player to return later on in the season.
In 2019, Hogan appeared in seven games for the Panthers and caught eight passes for 67 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
We have him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
