The New York Jets announced that they’ve placed WR Joe Anderson on waivers Thursday.

The Jets are likely just clearing a roster spot for some of their undrafted rookie signings.
Anderson, 27, originally signed on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Southern back in 2012. He lasted over a year in Chicago before he was waived with an injury settlement midseason.
After a brief stint with the Eagles, Anderson signed on with the Jets and later returned on a future/reserve contract back in January.
Anderson hasn’t appeared in a game since the 2013 season when he was playing for the Bears.
