Manish Mehta reports that the Jets are waiving RB De’Angelo Henderson on Friday.
The Jets are expected to activate RB Eli McGuire from injured reserve on Saturday, so this doesn’t come as a big surprise.
Henderson, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Broncos back in 2017. He was in the second year of his four-year, $2,545,164 contract when the Broncos waived him coming out of the preseason.
Henderson was on and off of the Jets’ practice squad before being promoted to their active roster last week.
In 2017, Henderson appeared in five games for the Broncos and rushed for 13 yards on seven carries to go along with two receptions for 36 yards receiving and one touchdown.
