Jets Working Out CB Curtis Brown Next Week

Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports reports that the Jets have scheduled a workout with CB Curtis Brown for next Tuesday.

Brown, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He spent three years with the team before he was waived with a failed physical designation back in March of last year.

However, Brown found no reported interest as an unrestricted free agent and wound up sitting out the entire 2014 season.

In 2013, Brown appeared in seven games for the Steelers and recorded seven tackles before he sustained a torn ACL, which led to him being placed on season-ending injured reserve.

The Jets can use all the help they can get at cornerback, so if Brown is fully recovered from his knee injury, it can’t hurt to bring him in and how he looks.
