Jets WR Robby Anderson Plans To Test Free Agency

According to Connor Hughes, Jets WR Robby Anderson said he plans to test free agency this offseason and won’t re-sign with the Jets before March.

“That wouldn’t really be logical,” Anderson said.

Hughes adds Anderson is expected to sign a deal worth between $13-$15 million a season, which is a number the Jets are unlikely to match. Anderson has been on the trade block at various times over the past two seasons

Anderson, 26, signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Temple back in 2016. He played out his three-year rookie contract and re-signed to a one-year, $3.095 million deal as a restricted free agent.

Anderson is in line to be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career in 2020.

In 2019, Anderson has appeared in 16 games and recorded 52 receptions for 779 yards receiving (15 YPC) and fiv touchdowns.
