According to the Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson, Kentucky CB Lonnie Johnson has visited five teams before the draft.
Johnson is visiting the Patriots Wednesday, and has also visited the Titans, Lions, Buccaneers and Chiefs.
Daniel Jeremiah mentions that Johnson is “gaining a lot of steam in personnel circles.” For what it’s worth, Jeremiah has Johnson going to the Steelers at No. 20 overall.
Johnson, 6-3 and 206 pounds, has been gaining steam in the pre-draft process as a long and athletic cornerback. Johnson could come off the board as early as the second round.
During his two years at Kentucky, Johnson recorded 64 total tackles, one sack, one interception and nine pass defenses in 22 games.
