Kevin White Has Passed Amari Cooper As The No. 1 WR In This Year’s Draft Class?

Matt Miller of the Bleacher Report has spoken to a number of NFL teams who have West Virginia WR Kevin White ahead of Alabama WR Amari Cooper as the top receiver in this year’s draft class.

Miller’s sources reportedly view White as the “consensus No. 1 receiver.”

For months, Cooper has been mentioned as the clear-cut No. 1 receiver in the 2015 draft, but it appears as though guys like White and Louisville WR Devante Parker have been gaining on him and are at least in the conversation to be the first wide out to come off the board.

According to Miller, there is a decent chance that multiple receivers could end up being top-10 picks. Miller specifically mentions the Raiders and Jets as two teams that are likely to consider drafting a receiver in round one.

However, Miller doesn’t view any of these players to be on the same leave as Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans and Odell Beckham Jr. from last year.

There’s still a long way to go in the draft process and should know more in the coming weeks, as the Scouting Combine is just 12 days away.

For what it’s worth, Miller and Daniel Jeremiah both have White being drafted ahead of Cooper in their latest mock drafts.
