Jeremy Fowler of St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that defensive tackle Kevin Williams is eyeing a contract extension and is unsure whether the Vikings were receptive to the talk during the offseason.

“They might not feel the same way,” said Williams, who enters his 10th season. “We have a lot of things to take care of between now and then. My main thing is to have a good year and whatever happens after that happens after that.”

Williams, who turns 32 in August, is due $7 million in the final year of his current deal and has a two-year option for 2013-14 worth a reported $16.76 million.
