D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the Falcons are believed to be close to reaching a deal with DE Kroy Biermann and it could be finalized within the next 36 hours.
Ledbetter actually mentions that a deal is “imminent” and should be relatively cheap for the team. He suggests that it could be in the range of $10 – $12 million and either 3 or 4 years in length.
Defensive end was believed to be one position that the team would consider looking to upgrade and possibly in the draft. If Biermann is willing to take a reasonable deal to stay with the team then it’s probably not a bad move for the Falcons.
