A source tells Steve Wyche that Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray no longer plans to meet with the Washington Redskins this week.
Some had wondered if the meeting between Murray and Washington could be an attempt by the Redskins to see what the Cardinals intentions are at No. 1 and in regards to possibly trading Josh Rosen.
Even so, the Redskins have been doing a lot of work on quarterbacks this offseason and are a team to watch at No. 15 overall to grab a quarterback prospect.
Murray made the decision to pursue an NFL career despite being drafted by the Oakland A’s last year. He’s now in the discussion to be a top-10 pick and could possibly go No. 1 overall.
Murray weighed in at 5-foot-10, 207 pounds at the Combine, which is similar to Russell Wilson and helped to alleviate some concerns.
During this three-year college career at Texans A&M and Oklahoma, Murray completed 68.7 percent of his passes for 5,098 yards, 48 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. He also rushed for 1,369 and 12 touchdowns over the course of 28 games.
