According to Ian Rapoport, the Lions have scheduled a free agent visit with CB Rashaan Melvin for Wednesday.
This is the first reported interest in him since the free agent market officially opened.
Melvin, 29, originally signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Northern Illinois back in 2013. He has played for a few teams since the Buccaneers cut him loose at the start of the 2014 season including the Dolphins, Ravens and Patriots.
The Raider signed Melvin to a one-year, $6.5 million contract last year.
In 2018, Melvin appeared in 14 games for the Raiders and 56 tackles, one interception and nine pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 93 cornerback out of 112 qualifying players.
We have him featured in our Top 100 Available Free Agents list.
