According to Ian Rapoport, Lions C Frank Ragnow did not practice Wednesday because of a fractured throat suffered in the first quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Packers.
Rapoport says Ragnow finished the game but his status for Week 15 is in doubt.
Dave Birkett adds more details, saying Ragnow can eat and breathe fine but he’s not supposed to talk at the moment.
Ragnow, 24, was drafted by the Lions in the first roud out of Arkansas in 2018. He’s in the third year of a four-year, $11.8 million deal that included a $6.6 million signing bonus.
The Lions have a fifth-year option to pick up on Ragnow in 2021.
In 2020, Ragnow has started all 13 games for the Lions at center. He’s rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 2 center out of 36 qualifying players.
