Free-agent DT Domata Peko says he had a free-agent visit with the Lions last week.
“Had a nice visit last week with the Lions,” Peko said via TMZ. “My agent’s trying to work some stuff out, but we’re gonna see, man. I’m just being patient with it and trying to enjoy this time with my family.”
The Broncos elected not to bring back Peko earlier this offseason, going instead with younger alternatives on the defensive line.
Peko, 34, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bengals back in 2006. He played 11 years for the Bengals before signing a two-year, $7.5 million contract with the Broncos in 2017.
In 2018, Peko appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos and recorded 31 tackles, a half sack and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 39 interior defender out of 112 qualifying players.
We have Peko listed in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
