Lions Met With Veteran TE Logan Paulsen

According to Field Yates of ESPN, the Lions hosted free agent TE Logan Paulsen for a visit on Monday.

This is the first reported interest in Paulsen since the free agent market officially opened.

Paulsen, 31, originally signed on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA back in 2012. Washington re-signed him to a three-year deal in 2013. Unfortunately for Paulsen, he was placed on season-ending injured reserve at the start of the 2015 season and subsequently missed the entire year with a toe injury.

After one season with the Bears, Paulsen joined the 49ers in March of last year but was, unfortunately, cut loose coming out of the preseason. He later returned to the team and was on and off of the 49ers’ active roster throughout the year.

In 2017, Paulsen has appeared in 14 games for the 49ers but did not catch a pass.
