The Detroitย Lions officially placed LB Brandon Chubb on injured reserve after passing through waivers unclaimed on Wednesday.
Chubb, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Wake Forest back in May. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later signed to the teamโs practice squad.
Los Angeles elected to cut Chubb loose a few weeks into the regular season and he later signed on to the Lionsโ practice squad.ย Chubb was cut loose to make room for Logan Thomas but was re-signed to the practice squad just a couple days later.
The Lions signed Chubb to a future/reserve contract this past January before waiving him with an injury designation on Tuesday.
Chubb has yet to appear in an NFL game.
