The Detroit Lions announced Tuesday that they’ve placed WR Tommylee Lewis on Active/Physically Unable to Perform list.
Lewis will still count against the Lions’ 90-man roster while on the list and can be activated at any time.
Lewis, 26, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Northern Illinois back in 2016. He was in the final year of his three-year, $1.62 million contract and made a base salary of $630,000 for the 2018 season.
Lewis was not tendered by the Saints as a restricted free agent and he later agreed to a contract with the Lions in March.
In 2018, Lewis appeared in seven games for the Saints and caught three passes for 60 yards receiving and one touchdown. He also rushed twice for 10 yards and totaled 69 kick return yards.
