Lions Re-Sign DT Haloti Ngata To A Two-Year Deal

The Detroit Lions have signed DT Haloti Ngata to a two-year contract.

Ngata, 32, came over in a trade with the Ravens thatย sent fourth- and fifth-round picks to Baltimore in return forย Ngata and a seventh-round selection.

He played out his five-year, $61 million contractย that includedย $37.1 million guaranteed and was in position to beย an unrestricted free agent.

In 2015,ย appeared in 14 games and recorded 25 tackles, 2.5ย sacksย and threeย pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 23ย defensive tackleย of 70ย qualifying players.
