Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports that the Lions re-signed TE Brandon Pettigrew to a four-year, $16 million contract.
- Pettigrew receives $8 million guaranteed.
- The Lions have since confirmed the deal.
Recent reports suggested that Pettigrew was deciding between offers from the Chiefs, Jets, Lions and Raiders.
Pettigrew, 29, caught 41 passes for 416 yards receiving and two touchdowns over the course of 14 games.
Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 55 tight end in the league out of 64 qualifying players. We had him listed as the No. 76 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
