The Detroit Lions announced Thursday that they’ve placed CB Adairius Barnes on waivers.
Barnes, 23, signed on with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana Tech back in 2016. He managed to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season, but was later waived and signed to their practice squad in December.
Last year, Barnes was on and off of the Lions’ practice squad, but returned to Detroit on a futures contract this past January.
In 2016, Barnes appeared in six games for the Lions and recorded seven total tackles.
