The Detroit Lions officially placed LB Brandon Chubb on waivers Tuesday.
Chubb, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Wake Forest back in May of last year. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later signed to the teamโs practice squad.
Los Angeles elected to cut Chubb loose a few weeks into the regular season and he later signed on to the Lionsโ practice squad. Chubb returned to the Lions a future’s deal this past January before waiving him with an injury designation and later reverted to injured reserve where he remained for the entire 2017 season.
Chubb has yet to appear in an NFL game.
