Lions Waive OT Cyrus Kouandjio

The Detroit Lions announced Tuesday that they’ve placed OT Cyrus Kouandjio on waivers.

Detroit placed Kouandjio on the non-football injury list shortly after signing him to a contract, but he spent just a few days on the list before being activated in time for the preseason.

Kouandjio, 23, is a former second-round pick of the Bills back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $4.808 million contract that included $2.825 million guaranteed and was set to make a base salary of $1,025,748 for the 2017 season when the Bills waived him two weeks ago.

The Lions signed Kouandjio to a contract a few months ago.

In 2016, Kouandjio appeared in 12 games for the Bills.
