Lions Waive OT Dominick Jackson

The Detroit Lions announced Tuesday that they’ve placed OT Dominick Jackson on waivers.

Jackson originally signed on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama shortly after this year’s NFL draft. However, he lasted just a few weeks in Detroit before he was placed on waivers.

The Lions later signed him to a contract three weeks ago, so his stay with Detroit was also short lived.

Jackson was set to make a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season, but will now have to look for a new opportunity with an NFL team.

Jackson was a JUCO transfer who played two seasons for Alabama and was a second-team All-SEC selection during his senior season.
