The Detroit Lions announced Tuesday that have signed OL Mike Rotheram to their practice squad and waived RB Mike James from the unit.

James, 25, is a former sixth-round pick by the Buccaneers back in 2013. He was waived a few weeks into the season but was later signed to their practice squad after clearing waivers.
Tampa Bay elected to waive James with an injury designation last week with an injury designation. After clearing waivers, James reverted to the Bucs’ injured reserve list. The Buccaneers waived him from I.R. with injury settlement a few weeks into the season.
James signed on to the Lions’ practice squad earlier in the month.
In 2014, James appeared in 11 games and ran for 37 yards on 19 carries (1.9 YPC) to go along with one reception for minus five yards.
