The 49ers lose another free agent as Pro Football Talk reports that LB Manny Lawson has signed a one-year deal worth $3 million with the Cincinnati Bengals.
So far San Francisco has had a pretty rough offseason. Losing some free agents and watching others sign with different teams has left them with a number of roster holes. Cornerback is definitely a need but the 49ers could have used an upgrade to Manny Lawson but losing him leaves them in an even worse position.
There will be a lot of pressure on rookie Aldon Smith to come in and produce.
