Maurice Jones-Drew joined Fox Sports Radio and discussed his foot injury that has held him out for a number of weeks this season. According to Jones-Drew, he’s hoping to be back “in a couple of weeks.”
“It’s definitely not going to be (out for) the year, but with a foot injury you don’t want to mess around with it and come back at 70 or 80 percent,” Jones-Drew said, via Sports Radio Interviews. “It’s just one of those things that’s going to take a little bit of time but it’s doing much better. Hopefully I will be back in a couple of weeks.”
Rashad Jennings has underwhelming in replace of him, so getting him back at less than 100 percent would most likely be an upgrade at this point. It seems as though Jones-Drew has a shot at returning in Week 13, but we’ll obviously have a better idea of whether or not that’s feasible in the coming weeks.
