Yesterday the Miami Dolphins fired their special teams coach following the loss to New England and rumors began to surface regarding a possible quarterback change.
Chad Henne struggled throughout Monday nights game and was later replaced by Tyler Thigpen. Neither quarterback looked all that impressive against New England so there has been speculation that Chad Pennington could take over in the coming weeks.
Mike Berardino of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel writes that a quarterback change remains a possibility but it’s unlikely to happen anytime soon. If Henne continues to under perform the team could make a change later in the season.
Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano commented on the situation by saying that he doesn’t think that there is any controversy.
