Ian Rapoportย of NFL Media reports that Miami QB Brad Kaaya is visiting with the Texans on Wednesday.
A recent report said that the talk of the Texans using their first-round pick on a quarterback could prove to be just a smokescreen in the end, and Houston may instead target a someone later on in the draft.
Assuming this is accurate, Kaaya could very well be someone worth keeping an eye on in regards to the Texans next week.
Kaaya, 21, elected to leave Miami early and enter the 2017 NFL Draft, even though some evaluatorsย believe it was in his best interest to return to school for another season.
At this point, it appears likely that Kaaya will end up being a mid-round pick and a developmental prospect for some NFL teams.
During his college career, Kaaya has thrown for 9,968 yards while completing 60.6 percent of his passes to go along with 69 touchdowns and 24 interceptions. He’s posted a passer rating of 146.2 during his three years at Miami.
