Michael Vick Open To Returning As The Eagles Backup?

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that veteran QB Michael Vick is open to returning to the Eagles next season in a backup capacity.

Rapoport adds that Vick could also find interest from “2 or 3 teams” as a stopgap quarterback option.

Vick, 33, is likely to find limited interest as an NFL starter on the open market, but even if there are only two or three teams after him, he could secure a multi-year contract in line with a backup salary.

You could easily make the case that a backup quarterback has never been as important as they are right now. The success of guys like Josh McCown and Matt Cassel magnifies situations like the Packers were they have started three different quarterbacks since Aaron Rodgers went down.

We have Vick listed as the No. 63 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
