According to Jordan Schultz, free agent DTย Ndamukong Suh is planning to visit with the Rams on Tuesday.
This is now the fourth team to be linked to Suh since he became available last week.
Suh has metย with the Saints and Titansย and the Seahawks are reportedly interested in possibly setting up a visit at some point.
Schultzย previously reported that Suh wantsย to take his time with this process and evaluate a “plethora of options” with his family, so it’s possible he’ll take more visits in the coming days.
It’s worth mentioning that signing him to a contract won’t impact a team’s 2019 compensatory picks, given that he was released this offseason.
Suh, 31, is a former first-round pick of the Lions back in 2010. He spent five years in Detroit before signing a six-year, $114 million contract that included $60 million guaranteed with the Dolphins a few years ago.
Suh was set to make base salaries of $16.985 million (2018), $18.985 million (2019), and $18.36 million (2020) over the remainder of the contract when the Dolphins designated him as a post-June 1 release.
In 2017, Suh appeared in all 16 games for the Dolphins and recorded 48 tackles, 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two pass defenses.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 5 interior defender out of 122 qualifying players.
We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
