NFC East Notes: Cowboys, Eagles, Giants

Cowboys

• David Moore of the Dallas Morning News reports that the Cowboys are running blood tests on S Kavon Frazier for a potential disorder that impacts clotting.
• Moore adds that the tests will help determine if the condition can be helped with medication.

Eagles

• Eagles HC Doug Pederson said Thursday that QB Carson Wentz will be monitored day by day, but putting him on the PUP was never a consideration. (Eliot Shorr-Parks)

• Eagles LB Nigel Bradham told reporters that the NFL originally suspended him for six games, but he managed to get his ban reduced to one game through an appeal. (Reuben Frank)

Giants

• Giants HC Pat Shurmur said they’re still evaluating supplemental CB Sam Beal’s shoulder. According to Shurmur, they knew there were some issues with his shoulder and it’s possible this injury could cost him the season. (Dan Duggan)
• Regarding fifth-round DL R.J. McIntosh is going through a medical issue, but the Giants hope to get him back at practice soon. (Matt Lombardo)
• New Giants OLB Connor Barwin said he signed with New York because of his familiarity with LBs coach Bill McGovern, Pat Shurmur, and comfort in a 3-4 scheme. (Matt Lombardo)

• As for Giants GM Dave Gettleman and his cancer battle, Mara said: “Dave (Gettleman) is doing great. He was in the office yesterday. He’s doing well. I don’t think I’ve ever been around a more upbeat guy.”
