reports that Cowboys HC Jason Garrett
is believed to be safe after getting the team to the playoffs and winning the NFC East.
According to Rapoport, the Cowboys and Garrett will likely discuss a new contract during the offseason, considering that he has one year left on his deal.
As for OC Scott Linehan, Rapoport says he may not be as secure as Garrett and he may need some playoff secure to be back in 2019.
- John Clark of NBC Sports reports that Buccaneers WR DeSean Jackson “would really like” to re-sign with the Eagles this offseason and has a pending sale of his house in Tampa Bay.
- Earlier in the week, Josina Anderson of ESPN reported that Jackson wants to move on from Tampa Bay next year and listed Anderson lists the Eagles, Redskins and possibly the Rams as potential landing spots for him.
According to Ian Rapoport
, Redskins president Bruce Allen
is likely to be back next year along with HC Jay Gruden
Rapoport says that assistant coaches have been fearful for a few weeks that jobs could be lost, but it appears as though Gruden’s job is safe.
Even so, Rapoport adds that some changes could still be made to the coaching staff, particularly on defense, with DC Greg Manusky being at risk.
