NFC Notes: Bears, Cardinals, Lions, Vikings

Bears

• The Chicago Bears have WR Markus Wheaton (groin) DL Roy Robertson-Harris (left hamstring) ILB John Timu (left knee/ankle) CB Sherrick McManis (hamstring) all listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Saints.
• Bears RB Benny Cunningham (hamstring) and OL Hroniss Grasu (hand) are both listed questionable for Week 8.

Cardinals

Darren Urban of AzCardinals.com makes it clear that the Cardinals aren’t trading WR Larry Fitzgerald ahead of the upcoming deadline.

Urban’s list of reasons for Arizona not dealing Fitzgerald include:

1. Fitzgerald is the face of the franchise
2. He’s also their best receiver
3. It’s unlikely the Cardinals would be able to get enough compensation for Fitzgerald to make worth it.
4. Urban fully expects Fitzgerald to finish out his career in Arizona.
5. The Cardinals are still technically in the mix for a playoff spot at 3-4, even though they lost QB Carson Palmer for the next eight weeks.

Lions

• The Lions officially ruled out OT Emmett Cleary, OT Greg Robinson and WR Kenny Golladay for Week 8’s game.
• Lions WR Golden Tate, DE Ezekiel Ansah, and LB Paul Worrilow are all questionable.

Vikings

• Vikings HC Mike Zimmer officially announced that Case Keenum will start against the Browns on Sunday.
• Minnesota officially ruled out Sam Bradford, Jeremiah Sirles and Stephen Weatherly for Week 8’s game.
• The Vikings also list Stefon Diggs, Nick Easton, Riley Reiff, Michael Floyd and Mackensie Alexander as questionable.
