NFC South Notes: Buccaneers, Falcons, Panthers

Buccaneers

• Greg Auman of The Athletic does not expect the Buccaneers to keep WR DeSean Jackson on their roster and says Tampa Bay “would like” to trade him. 
• Jason La Canfora reports that Buccaneers WR Adam Humphries has reportedly priced himself out of Tampa and is poised to do very well this offseason. 

Falcons

• Field Yates reports that the Falcons signed QB Matt Schaub to a two-year, $3.78M contract that includes $750K guaranteed and a team option for 2020. 
• The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday that they’ve hired University of Miami DL coach Jess Simpson as their new defensive line coach.

Panthers

• Joe Person of the Athletic reports that Panthers RT Daryl Williams is expected to test the open market and likely depart. 
• Person’s sense after speaking with sources is that the Panthers will try to be more active in the second wave of free agency, rather than spend lavishly on one or two big-name free agents.
• Some offensive tackles to keep an eye on for Carolina, according to Person, include George Fant, Ty Nsekhe, Jared Veldheer, Jordan Mills and Kendall Lamm.
