Panthers
Panthers HC Ron Rivera said they want to “limit” their edge rushers dropping into coverage before they are ready to do so.
“Want to limit those opportunities. When they first start doing it they kind of look like an awkward giraffe. But as they get used to it, you see the cat-like quickness and you start comparing these guys to cheetas,” said Rivera, via Max Henson.
Saints
Saints QB Teddy Bridgewater mentioned that it’s a “relief” to have people not worry about his ACL injury this offseason.
“It’s a relief for me not having to worry about people having questions or anything like that. Just being able to focus on football and not have to worry about the other things,” said Bridgewater, via Mike Triplett of ESPN.
Bridgewater added that the lower half of his body feels “stronger” than ever.
“My lower half probably feels stronger than it’s ever been,” said Bridgewater.
- Saints HC Sean Payton said DT Sheldon Rankins (Achilles) is โahead of scheduleโ but it’s “too soon” to practice as he’s still rehabbing. (Herbie Teope)
