NFC West Notes: 49ers, Cardinals, Rams, Seahawks

49ers

Cardinals

  • Albert Breer reports that NFL teams are still in the dark regarding the availability of Cardinals QB Josh Rosen
  • However, sources have told Breer that this isn’t stopping teams from getting their ducks in a row and speaking with people who’ve worked with Rosen over the last few years to do background work on him.
  • If he had to guess right now, Breer believes the Cardinals will take Kyler Murray at No. 1 overall.

Rams

When asked about playing for Sean McVay, new Rams QB Blake Bortles said: “[T]here’s not really anybody else you’d rather be around if you had your pick.”

“I mean, I think as a quarterback, there’s not really anybody else you’d rather be around if you had your pick,” Bortles said, via TheRams.com. “What he’s done, the people that have been taken out of here for head coaching jobs, and OC jobs in other places I think is a testament to how good he is at what he does, how good of a teacher and a coach he is. And you watch them play, and the effort and intensity that they play at speaks to the type of head coach he is and how he gets the guys going.

Seahawks

  • Aaron Wilson reports that the Seahawks signed LB Mychal Kendricks to a one-year, $4.5 million contract that includes a $2 million salary, a $250,000 training camp roster bonus, a $250,000 1st-game active roster bonus, $125,000 in per game active roster bonuses and $1 million playtime and sack incentives.
