Cardinals
Cardinals first-round rookie QB Kyler Murray sat out the majority of the second half of Arizona’s 27-13 upset win against the Seahawks on Sunday after injuring his hamstring. That leaves his status for next week uncertain. The Cardinals were eliminated from the playoffs long ago, and while Murray is a competitor, hamstring injuries are notoriously finicky.
โI couldnโt make a guess,โ Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury said via ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss. โWe obviously wonโt put him out there if he wasnโt a hundred percent.โ
49ers
- Per the Athletic’s Matt Barrows, 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said he doesn’t anticipate DE Dee Ford returning from his hamstring injury this week: โWeโll see how this week progresses. But Iโm not expecting to have him this week.โ
- 49ers signed DL Anthony Zettel. (NFLTR)
- 49ers waived DL Jeremiah Valoaga.
Rams
The Rams were officially eliminated from the playoffs on Saturday night following a last-second loss to the 49ers. It punctuated a steep fall from grace for Los Angeles this season after representing the NFC in the Super Bowl last season, and QB Jared Goff said what everyone associated with the Rams was thinking.
โItโs extremely disappointing,โ Goff said via ESPN’s Lindsey Thiry. โYou never envision something like this when you start the year. Itโs not even close to the standard that we want to hold. Itโs sickening.โ
- Rams HC Sean McVay told reporters after the game that rookie RB Darrell Henderson will undergo right ankle surgery. (Gary Klein)
- McVay said that CB Jalen Ramsey‘s knee injury will continue to be tested and evaluated.
Seahawks
- Per Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, Seahawks HC Pete Carroll expects DE Jadeveon Clowney to play this week: “I don’t think there is any question he’s going to play.”
- Carroll said he anticipates Seahawks CB Shaquill Griffin having “a really good chance to play” this week, while S Quandre Diggs is less likely to play, but not ruled out. (John Boyle)
- The Seahawks tried out eight players on Monday including RB C.J. Anderson, RB Marshawn Lynch, RB Robert Turbin, DT Mike Hughes, DT Tomasi Laulile, DT Chris Nelson, Shakir Soto and DT Andrew Williams. (Aaron Wilson)
