ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the New England Patriots have signed former Buffalo Bills DT Marcus Stroud today. Schefter reports that the deal is for two-years. Stroud was recently released which allowed him to sign with a new team before the March 3rd deadline.
Stroud, 33, is a three time Pro Bowler and should help the Patriots defensive line next season. While there is some risk to signing a player who has seen a decline in production over the last three years, the Patriots are great at getting production out of smart-veteran players who can step in and be a role player for them.
