NFL Networks Jason La Canfora reports that the Oakland Raiders have franchised LB Kamerion Wimbley. The comes as a surprise considering that it seemed as though they were planning on using the tag on either DE Richard Seymour, who they’ve already re-signed, or TE Zach Miller.
Wimbley is a solid outside linebacker who has been consistently productive in the NFL over his first five season. We had Wimbley listed as the No. 34 best available free agent in our Top 50 NFL Free Agents list.
