49ers

Bills

• With QB Kyle Orton suffering a toe injury during Thursday night’s loss to the Dolphins, HC Doug Marrone was asked if he’s considering going with E.J. Manuel.

“No, right now, that hasn’t crossed my mind,” Marrone said, via NFL.com.

Browns

• OC Kyle Shanahan mentioned he “can’t wait” to get WR Josh Gordon back from suspension and expects to get him involved right away.

“I can’t wait to get him back, looking forward to it,” Shanahan said, via Scott Petrak of the Chronicle-Telegram. “And as soon as he’s ready to go, we’ll make sure to work to get him the ball.“

Patriots

Patriots owner Robert Kraft mentioned in a recent interview that he’s still hoping to re-sign CB Darrelle Revis to a new contract next year.

“We haven’t signed him for another year. It’s a pretty high number. He likes what he sees here. And I know we like having him here,” Kraft said, via Jim Corbett of USA Today. “We’ll just have to see if we can do some long-term business. That’s what we really want to do. Let’s get through the season and see what happens.”
