NFL Notes: 49ers, Broncos, Dolphins, Jets & Lions

49ers

• The San Francisco 49ers announced that DT DeForest Buckner (foot), CB Jimmie Ward (quadriceps), and LB NaVorro Bowman (Achilles) will not play during Thursday’s Week 5 game.

Broncos

Broncos HC Gary Kubiak told reporters on Wednesday that he would prefer to wait until game day to make a decision regarding who will be the team’s starting quarterback for Sunday’s game against the Falcons.

“I’d like to take it all the way to game day,” Kubiak said, via Pro Football Talk. “I trust Trevor ( Siemian).” He knows exactly what we’re doing and he’s very bright. He’s on top of everything today. He’s a part of the walk-throughs and everything that we’re doing so he’s on top of everything. We’ll just see where he’s at physically.”

Dolphins

• Armando Salguero doesn’t expect Dolphins RB Arian Foster to play this week against the Titans.

Jets

• Jets HC Todd Bowles said recently acquired TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins “has a chance” to play in Sunday’s game. (Brian Costello)
• Jets S Calvin Pryor confirmed that he was fined $25,000 for his hit against Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin last week. (Brian Costello)

Lions

• A source tells ESPN’s Adam Caplan that TE Eric Ebron (ankle, knee) and DE Ziggy Ansah (high ankle) are not expected to play Sunday against the Eagles.
