NFL Notes: Adrian Peterson, London Games, Bucs, Bills

Adrian Peterson

Matt Vensel of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports thatย the Vikings โ€œcontinue to have internal discussionsโ€ about whether they should allow RBย Adrian Petersonย to play again this season if he’s reinstated by the NFL.

Roger Goodell would need toย reinstate him fromย commissionerโ€™s exempt list, but Mike Garafolo reports that the leagueย rejected an attempt by Peterson’sย reps to get himย reinstatement following theย plea agreement that was reached on Tuesday.

According to Garafolo, the NFL refused to engage in discussions regarding a settlement over his playing status.

London Games

According to Albert Breer, another step in the NFL process of testing the viability of a London franchise is to eliminate byes for teams coming off of games played overseas.

Breer is reporting that next year’s group teams playing in London — the Dolphins, Jets, Jaguars, Bills, Chiefs, and Lions — will still receive a bye after their London games.

However, Breer mentions that the automatic bye could be gone as soon as 2016.
