NFL Notes: Bills, Browns, Buccaneers, Cardinals, Falcons, & Ravens

 

Bills

• RB C.J. Spiller will be the team’s kick returner this season. (Chris Brown)

Browns

• WR Josh Gordon is the goodwill ambassador for the Sachione Auto group. He’ll be working as an on-floor salesman while also in charge of a local effort for the Wounded Warriors Project. (Josina Anderson)

Buccaneers

• WR Chris Owusu mentioned on Wednesday that he’s “preparing as if he’s the starting slot receiver” for Sunday’s game against the Panthers. (Kevin O’Donnell)

Cardinals

• HC Bruce Arians told reporters that Ted Larsen will start at left guard over Jonathan Cooper becaue he’s earned it.

“I don’t care about draft status,” Arians said, via Zach Buchanan of the Arizona Republic. “I want to see the results on the field, and Ted Larsen’s way outplayed (Cooper).”

Falcons

• RB Steven Jackson is not listed on the Falcons’ Week 1, and appears to be good to go this weekend. (Vaughn McClure)

Ravens

• The Ravens could face a difficult decision if RB Bernard Pierce is productive in relief of Ray Rice over the first two games of the year. (Jamison Hensley)
