Bills
- Jason La Canfora reports that the Bills were willing to trade their No. 9 overall pick and two mid-round selections for Antonio Brown and No. 20 overall before the deal fell through.
- La Canfora says Brown refused to go to Buffalo and the deal was dead earlier in the week.
Eagles
- According to Jeremy Fowler, the Eagles “were players but not serious enough” in trade talks for Steelers WR Antonio Brown.
- Adam Schefter, citing a league source familiar with the conversations, reports that the Brown trade talks between the Eagles and Steelers were simply two teams doing their due diligence and those talks never got serious.
Raiders
- Ian Rapoport reports that the trade compensation — third- and fifth-round picks — wasn’t an issue for interested teams and there were “several” willing to part with those picks for WR Antonio Brown.
- However, the Raiders were the only team willing to rip up his old contract and sign him to a new deal. Rapoport says his demands limited the pool of interested teams to one.
- Jeremy Fowler spoke to a source close to Brown about what intrigued him about playing for the Raiders. “Coach Gruden and Derek Carr,” Fowler’s source said along with the team’s system, draft capital, and good young players.
- Per Fowler, Raiders DC Paul Guenther strongly endorsed Brown’s game.
Redskins
- According to Jason La Canfora, the Redskins were among the teams to engage the Steelers about a possible trade for WR Antonio Brown after the deal with the Bills fell through.
- However, the Raiders were the only team willing to re-do the contract to that extent and they had the higher 2019 draft picks.
