- Dan Graziano of ESPN expects Emmanuel Sanders to be the receiver next in line for a big contract extension now that the Seahawks have locked up Doug Baldwin to a four-year, $46 million deal.
Colts
Colts owner Jim Irsay told reporters that Andrew Luck’s new extension works with their gap and will allow them to franchise him in the final year of the agreement in needed.
“It works with the cap,” Irsay said, per Kevin Bowen. “It works with tagging in the last year. I think both sides accomplished everything we wanted to do.”
Seahawks
Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin says that despite the team’s financial commitments to him and QB Russell Wilson, they’re still going to focus on running the ball.
“We’ve shown that that’s a successful formula for us in going to back-to-back Super Bowls, being in the playoffs for four years straight. That’s not going to change for us. We take pride in that. So I’m looking forward to doing the same things that we’ve been doing and making them better so that we can have a shot at some more titles.”
