NFL Notes: Broncos, Panthers, Ravens, & Seahawks

Broncos

Panthers

Panthers GM Dave Gettlemanย mentioned that signing QB Cam Newton gives them a better idea of what they’ll be able to do from a financial perspective moving forward.

โ€œThe biggest thing it does for us is it gives us a fixed cost. You know what youโ€™re dealing with,โ€ Gettleman said, via Joseph Person of the Charlotte Observer. โ€œAnd weโ€™ve been very intentional and thoughtful about how weโ€™re spending our money, and weโ€™ll continue to do that. Weโ€™ve been planning for this.โ€

The Panthers still need to address the contracts of linebackersย Luke Kuechly andย Thomas Davis.ย

Ravens

  • Ravensย TE Dennis Pitta has made “significant progress” with his mobility and range of motion, and is now back to running routes and catch passes during individual drills, according toย Aaron Wilson.

Seahawks
